Kim Sugar Free Couture Arrested for Domestic Violence? Stop the Madness
Kim Couture, female mixed martial artist and ex-wife of UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture, was arrested for domestic violence over the weekend, stemming from an alleged attack on her personal assistant, according to a report from MMA News Leak and later confirmed by Five Ounces of Pain .
Usually, being arrested for domestic violence is highly unlikely among non-couples, but Couture and her assistant shared a home together, which makes the charges possible. Allegedly, the woman was being choked and showed visible signs of abuse when the police arrived.
Couture was booked into the Clark County Detention Center, but she has since posted bail and been released.
She owns a professional fighting record of 2-2. Couture last fought in March when she defeated Rosa Vizcarra via TKO in less than 90 seconds. She has no current fights on her schedule.
Although she still trains with Randy Couture, one can only imagine how the MMA legend is feeling privately about the matter. Even though the two are no longer together, this doesn’t reflect well on him.
With MMA not yet a mainstream sport, this type of press will only hurt the growth of the sport. Luckily, for everyone involved but the victim, this wasn’t a more serious situation involving a much bigger name in the sport.
