Best of Pride Fighting Championships Without Fedor? ZUFFA Needs to Return to the Drawing Board

Though I’m completely on board with ZUFFA, the parent company of the UFC, re-airing all the great PRIDE Fighting Championships bouts from days gone by, the idea that you could run such a series and exclude bouts which feature Fedor Emelianenko is just plain horseshit.

Whoever made this call, I implore you, rethink that position and actually show The Best of PRIDE Fighting Championships and not some appalling expurgated edition.

PRIDE without Fedor is like ordering a boilermaker and getting a shot of vodka with your Budweiser. It’s just not right…

It’s one thing to use the best of pride to advertise UFC, but to reinvent what “best” of pride means to suit ones selfish needs is a little ridiculous. They want to claim that it’s a sport, but it continues to be operated as if it’s not a sport, but a hobby of a greedy idiot.

Exactly. This is not fair to Fedor and his credibility. He has worked as hard if not harder than most fighters and has been through some of the toughest punishment any fighter has experienced. The UFC truly has no heart and there should be no sympathy for the devil.
