Strikeforce Fedor vs Rogers Post Fight Press Conference
- Posted by Nat Detroit Mace on November 8th, 2009
Brett Rogers seemed a bit stunned long after the fight when he spoke to the media.
He thought the fight was going his way (and so did we) but made “one little mistake” and found himself in the same position that many before him have – on his back staring at the arena lights after Fedor Emelianenko dropped him with a bomb of a right hand.
The big man said it won’t happen again if he gets another chance to fight Fedor…but other men have said that, too.

Does Rogers realize what a fool he looked like post fight? Whining like a bitch on national (international) TV??? Not giving Fedor any credit and with, “next time I’m coming harder, you know what I mean”… OMG! He looked like some south Chicago thug thats not used to having smaller people stand up to him. I guess nobody told him Russians aint your typical white guys. (and I’m glad). Savor your ass-kicking Rogers. I’m sure it won’t be your last. Oh, and welcome to the champion fight. You’ve used all your passes. No more Butterbean opponents from here…

Pullitsurpize, you do NOT have to bring race into this because race is irrelavent in MMA. The best fighters in MMA include Blacks, Whites, Brazilians, and many other races and nationalities.
You should just say something like: “Brett Rogers looked like a thug and Rogers did not display any class in the post fighte interviews at all.” “Fedor,as always, showed his world class skills in the Octogon and his world class sportsmanship after the fight” I would add that Fedor is a true class act and THE true MMA Heavyweight Champion!

My apologies. I could have worded it differently but it’s only an observation. It’s funny but if I said, “ain’t your typical Brazilian or Ukrainian etc…” you would have probably been been okay with that. Just like there’s not a lot of Manny Pacquiao’s running around, I also find it curious that someone from mixed races such as Pacquiao (Aborigines, Asian and Spanish) is said to be the pound for pound best boxer in the world. Is this a racist statement? I don’t believe it is. It’s what I see and I’m merely making an observation. Valid or not, malicious or not, why are you so quick to judge?
I guess you have to have lived there to know south Chicago’s general sentiments towards whites. I suggest you plan your next vacation there. I’m sure you’ll agree. You can chose to ignore “it” but “it’s” still there.
Having said that, IMO Russians (and the region) do tend to produce a more focused fighter. Must be something in the water (is that benign enough for you, lol) But Fedor is a exception by any standard.
