Koscheck Wanted Title Shot Against GSP, Gets Wheelbarrow of Cash Instead
- Posted by Whitey Hudson on November 22nd, 2009
Though he spent his time with Joe Rogan after his ugly win over Anthony “Rumble” Johnson woofing on welterweight contender Dan Hardy, Josh Koscheck must have had his hurt feelings soothed somewhat by an enormous pile of cash.
Dana White was effusive in his praise of Josh Koscheck. White awarded both the Fight of the Night and Submission of the Night bonuses to Koscheck.
In case you were wondering, that adds up to a pretty gaudy $140,000 double-bonus check – on top of his fight night salary of $106,000 ($53,000 to show and $53,000 to win).
The title shot Koscheck was angling for immediately after the fight will have to wait as White said Georges St. Pierre will take on contender Dan Hardy.
