Strikeforce Emelianenko Rogers Mixed Martial ArtsThe CBS broadcast of Saturday’s Strikeforce: Fedor vs Rogers managed to exclude one of the most intimidating moments in MMA – Fedor’s entrance.

Say what you will about fighters who whip themselves up, put on a game face, play a rap theme at ear-splitting volume, but this is much, much more psychologically devastating.

The man looks like he’s walking down to the corner store to buy a loaf of bread and a package of Black and Milds.

It was creapy. Man, that whole intro gave me goosebumps. When he came down the runway with that empty expression and the Russian music playing I was envisioning him leading a tattered group of village people thru the Siberian winter and an old wrinkled lady with a bushel strapped on her back… Iknow, I know, a little too vivid but this guy puts you in the moment like know other.
