Tuff-N-Uff Future Stars of MMA Returns to Las Vegas
- Posted by Nat Detroit Mace on October 27th, 2009
Tuff-N-Uff fighters hungry for action the day after Thanksgiving at the Orleans Hotel and Casino.
Tuff-N-Uff Productions returns to the Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, where “The Future Stars of MMA” will represent some of the best gyms in the country: Xtreme Couture, Warrior Training Center, Wand Fight Team, Hawaiian Fighting Arts, Filipino MMA and others.
A four-man heavyweight tournament will feature the division’s best, banging it out for the title belt. The first bracket will feature John Gettle (2-0), who is now matched with undefeated Josh Peasly (3-0) from Xtreme Couture. Both fighters have devastating power and have their sights set on entering the professional MMA industry.
In keeping with Tuff-N-Uff tradition, the event will include female MMA athletes. The main event will feature Latasha Marzolla (1-0), Las Vegas, Nev. vs. Kate McGray (1-0), Hollywood, Calif.
Both fighters are skilled strikers and won their MMA debuts with Tuff-N-Uff. A Las Vegas local, LaTasha Marzolla was Playboy’s 2004 special edition playmate of the year and won her MMA debut with Tuff-N-Uff by TKO on May 30th against Christy Tada. Kate McGray teaches kickboxing and won her first Tuff-N-Uff fight by decision on July 10th against Garbiella Lakoczky.
Both athletes will put their undefeated records on the line on November 27th.
“We were humbled and thrilled to be a part of the Xtreme Couture GI Foundation weekend fundraiser in Mesquite last week. It is a fantastic organization that is headed by Randy Couture and raises money and awareness to assist the men and women who defend our nation in adjusting to their civilian life,” said Barry Meyer, President of Tuff-N-Uff. “And now are ready to give our fans the opportunity to see some MMA heavy hitters that are hungry for reasons to be thankful this holiday season, and a chance to the fighters to show off their talent”.
Additional fight card developments will be announced shortly.
