Frank Mir Says He’s Getting Better All the Time
- Posted by Whitey Hudson on July 3rd, 2009
A couple of things you notice right away about Frank Mir after watching his fights; he has some serious knockout power and a hell of a chin.
Anyone who can come back from the kind of motorcycle accident Mir suffered has to have the Big Heart as well, and Mir has it.
The Vegas books have Mir as a major dog in this fight, and as much as I want to disagree, I have to go with them on this.
The Lesnar vs. Mir odds have Lesnar at -240 and Mir at +190. Even though Mir has already beaten Lesnar once – and is one of the most skilled heavyweight fighters on the ground – Lesnar is just so damn big and powerful.
Mir is much better off fighting from his back than Couture, and he’ll need to be if he’s going to “upset” Lesnar at UFC 100.
