Ryan Bow Will Second Ryo Chonan at UFC97
As you read this you should realize that there are tough guys all around you. They work day jobs, get home late to the wife and kids, and then cram in a little training at the gym.
On Friday or Saturday nights, they may head to the local fight club – that’s if they can’t find a regional event to enter like those put together by Michigan Extreme Cagefighting in this state.
If it all works out, you might get a shot at the big time like Ryan Bow of Kaminari Dojo MMA Academy.
Bow will be working the corner for Ryo Chonan this weekend at UFC 97, but his skills extend far beyond those boundaries. Bow is also an MMA instructor and MMA fighter.
Kaminari Dojo is Grand Rapid’s new premiere Mixed Martial Arts school. Founder Ryan Bow, a native of Grand Rapids, MI, moved to Japan at the young age of 17 to pursue a career in Mixed Martial Arts.
With America now having become the new Mecca of the sport, 12 years and over 30 professional fights later the former No. 1 world ranked Bow is back to spread the MMA gospel.
Kaminari Dojo originally opened its doors in Tokyo, Japan. Bow has more than a decade of experience training with the likes of Olympic Gold Medalist and Pride veteran Hidehiko Yoshida, K-1 Superstar Norifumi “KID” Yamamoto, and Grappling sensation Shinya Aoki.
